Utica Boilermaker Bus

KRC will once again be chartering the Boilermaker FUN bus to the 2016 Utica Boilermaker, Sunday, July 10th. The cost for the bus is $30 per person for KRC members; $35 for non-KRC members and is payable by June 26th, 2016. First come / first served. The $30 or $35 pp includes bus driver tip and bottled water. The bus (with bathroom), leaves the Val-Kin NYS parking lot in Valatie at 5AM sharp Sunday morning July 10th. The bus will arrive at the NYS Police Training Facility in Albany off of Exit 3 on I-90 at 5:15AM to pick up passengers there. The bus returns after the Boilermaker Post-Race party approximately 12:15pm and will return to the Val-Kin Park and Ride around 3PM. There is limited seating so don't get shut out, get your payment in NOW!!!! Seats will be guaranteed once payment is received, and they are non-refundable. Detailed information on the Boilermaker and the Bus will be emailed to all those who are paid in full at least a week before the race. Kinderhook Runners Club

The Kinderhook Runners Club is a local organization formed to promote running in the Kinderhook NY area. The club was formed in January of 2009. As of July 2012, we have over 200 members, generally from the Columbia & Rensselaer County areas, but also from the NY Capital District, Boston, etc. Membership is open to everyone. We have two levels of membership, individual and family with annual dues of $20 and $25 respectively.

Saturday Morning Runs at 7:30 AM AND 9:00AM

We currently have group runs every Saturday morning. They begin at the Kinderhook Village Square.

The 7:00 run generally attracts the faster longer runners; the 9:00 run is new and for more casual runners. that run is a simple 3 miler run following the OK5K route.

The early runs vary each week. Most runs have optional distances from 3, 5, 9, and 12+ miles. The Run of the Week is published on this site in the Members Only section.
If you care to join us some Saturday email us at, and let us know how many will be coming. We'll give you the route, be there to welcome you, and set water out for you as well!

Social Events & Races

We sponsor a number of social events such as the annual Christmas party, and our the summer picnic, and the Autumn “Red Apple Trail Run� through the Samascott Orchards and fields.

The Wednesday Evening Fun Runs
Starting June 10, 2015 - the Town of Kinderhook along with the KRC sponsors free 5K runs and walks every Wednesday night at 7PM from the Kinderhook Village Square. Join us! [More info]

Sunday Runs
Every Sunday at 9AM there is a slow 5K to 5 mile run/walk in the Village.
These runs are free and you don't need to be a member!

Saturday Club Runs
Every Saturday morning, rain, shine snow, ice, ... there is a club run.
There are always different routes at different distances for different levels of ability.
Generally they start in the Village.
